3WL at the International Motorsports Industry Show
February 23, 2010 - 9:28am
Charlotte, NC (February 23, 2010) -
When the 3 Wide Life crew caught word of a new motorsports trade show for the hardcore racer being put together in the "Racing Capital of the World," they had to check it out. Turns out, C & R Racing owner Chris Paulson and his team, which includes the King of Indianapolis, Tony Stewart had done exactly that - creating the International Motorsports Industry Show. The inaugural two-day event took place in December, where over 10,000 people from all over the motorsports industry ascended on downtown Indianapolis. The show did not disappoint and 3 Wide Life was there to capture the moment.
"The big names showed up," said 3 Wide Life co-host Meghan Stanton. "There was a special energy in the air. It was a collection of racers from all over, and everyone was excited about the new platform to show off their stuff. We weren't sure what to expect, but it was obvious from the very beginning that this was something special, and certainly a show that will be around for years to come."
This week's episode of 3 Wide Life focuses on the IMIS show. Nothing is left uncovered. From interviews with the founders of the event, to the racers in attendance, the show is an all access pass to those who were not able to attend, and a reminder of how cool it was to those who were there.
"People are usually surprised at how much information they take away from an event like that," continues Stanton. "We learned a ton, and hopefully we are able to share a portion of that with everyone else."
Next week 3 Wide Life takes on the Chili Bowl in their annual trek to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the Superbowl of midget racing.
