| Battle for 2nd in the 2011 USAC National Drivers Championship Comes Down To Turkey Night (Charlotte, N.C. Nov. 21, 2011) RW56 is pleased to announce that Chris Windom, of Canton, Illinois, will be behind the wheel of the No. 56 3 Wide Networks midget for the 71st Annual “Turkey Night Grand Prix” on November 24 at Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, Calif. Windom heads into this final 2011 NDC event second in points and looks to end Bryan Clauson‘s reign as Turkey Night Champion. Clauson of Noblesville, Ind. has won the prestigious event the last two-years and would become only the third driver to win three in a row should he take the checkers again.
Windom, Levi Jones and Kyle Larson enter the finale separated by just eight points for the runner-up spot in the final standings. Clauson mathematically locked up his second consecutive USAC National Drivers Championship finishing sixth in the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint car finale at Giant Chevrolet Kings Speedway in Hanford, Calif. “We are stoked to be heading to Turkey Night with Chris Windom as our driver,” said Shane Hmiel, co-owner RW56. “Windom is a great pavement driver so I feel like we have the guy to end Clauson’s run as Turkey Night Champ and bring home the trophy for RW56 and 3 Wide Life. I want to thank Fontana Racing Engines for their support of the No. 56 in this event as well.” The car will be branded with 3 Wide Networks as an extension of the 3 Wide Life racing program with RW56 and Shane Hmiel. 3 Wide Networks, a live event broadcast website, will be the place to watch the Turkey Night live stream.
