| Wiley King has packed a lot experience into 21 short years. He no longer takes days for granted. Thanksgiving 2005 was Wiley's last "normal" teenage weekend. He worked at his local NASCAR store running the simulators, spent time with friends, and did what normal teenagers do on holidays. By the next weekend, Wiley started what would be ten long months in and out of surgery and the ICU to treat a brain tumor. When the doctors gave the green light, Wiley headed to St. Jude for radiation treatment. Wiley didn't know it yet, but that's where the first pieces of Wiley's World with Three Wide Life and Pilot Travel Centers' Truck Driver Challenge fell into place. Wiley started helping the other kids at St' Jude draw NASCAR paint jobs for the Nationwide race in Memphis, and Wiley's examples caught the eye of Michael Waltrip Racing's #99 team and David Reutimann. They chose Wiley's design. On race day, their car won! As designer of the winner's paint scheme, Wiley celebrated with the owners, drivers, team members, sponsors, and everyone back at the shop. They became like family, and soon Wiley was going with them to races and hanging around the pits on weekends. Through Wiley's World, he's sharing a glimpse into the real work and real lives of his buddies that make the races happen.
